Dr Shailesh Pethe, MVSc, is the former Chief Veterinary Officer of Sanjay Gandhi National Park, Mumbai, and Mumbai Zoo. His career spans zoo, wildlife and companion-animal medicine, bringing deep clinical judgement and decades of veterinary experience to the centre.

What we are
Mumbai Vet CritiCare is based in Mumbai. Its established transfusion service manages donor care, prepares leukocyte-reduced packed red blood cells and fresh frozen plasma, provides typing and cross-matching, performs transfusions, monitors patients and records outcomes.
Product availability is only one part of that work. Safe transfusion care also depends on indication review, component selection, compatibility testing, administration, monitoring and a usable patient history.

Clinical scope
